I'm confused, Is it a glitch that its NOT letting you buy GC or a glitch that it IS letting you buy GC?

That's the question.

It DOESN'T say anywhere that it excludes gift cards but I assume Best Buy didn't want you using them for GC's.

Meanwhile at my local store it wasn't working on any gift cards without a manager overriding the system.

I tried at the Best Buy in Mayfield Heights, OH. They told me the only gift card it will work on is ITunes. I tried to get a manager override but It was taking too long and I had to leave.

Didn't work on BB GCs, bust worked just fine on amazon GCs. They only let me do one transaction.

Has anyone had a problem using it altogether? or has the only problem been for GC's?
I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.

You should be fine if you're using it for eligible merchandise.

BB in brick nj not accepting the coupon for gc purchases. There was a print out on the register with a list of the exclusions.
Worked on regular merchandise.

Not sure why everyone is so busy with gift cards. You can just buy any qualifying merchandise from best buy then return it for store credit and just sell the best buy gift cards!

At a loss. Where the Amazon gift cards I'll use.

And for anyone who got Mastercards from their local Best Buys even better!

Yea I understand. But if there are no gift cards available, or you have no use for them like me, you am theoritally buy anything and return it for store credit and sell it for 85% on plastic jungle.

Will they give you full credit? Or only $50?

They will give you full store credit to what the item is worth. You can tell them you got I'd a gift and don't want the money going on CC and instead want the store credit of the item.

As a few people posted in the comments on main dd site: bb bklyn bay pkway only honoring if you "got the email" and they make you print it out from your email address in the store!
"Someone I know" figured out that they don't bother checking who the "sender" of the email is! So "in theory" you would email the pdf coupon to yourself and print it out in the store and manger signs printed coupon!
This "theory" worked as of 7.45 pm...

Passed by a  best buy in manhhatan and decided to check it out as I was watching the checkout line there where about 3 people ahead of me 1 bought gc and the rep told him it doesn't work on gc and they won't honour it.  2 bought some gadgets and tried swiping a amex and it was a no starter and the 3rd was a little slick and tried the same schtick as he walked out with a laptop and tried swiping his amex but to no avail.
When it came my turn I just asked the rep what's going on with these gc she replied that they sold hundreds of gc today but in the last few hours they got updated terms from hq not to honour only on actual buys with a master card only.
