Ladies & Gents,

I am planning a trip to Iran - I'm afraid it will be tougher to visit in the future.

Has anyone been? Anyone have any pointers?

(i have Israeli stamps, but I am thinking about getting a new passport)

Which passport do you have? Need a visa. Must declare all countries visited so stamps aren't your problem. Sheraton Tehran has nothing to do with Starwood or Sheraton hotels. (Go sue them)

Go to the Kish Islands and you don't need a visa.

I believe tourism visas are only valid for official government tour companies (a la NK), it's a very cumbersome process to get them.

Im already picturing my spam folder in my e-mails filling up with e-mails asking for donations to help
some jew get out of an Iranian prison for supposed espionage...

What ever you do, have tons of fun and enjoy every second, but be careful, plan and realize that your actions might affect thousands of others around you..

Have you already been everywhere else in the world?
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Fascinating. Of course the solution all along was to simply join NK and go with them.

I actually know one of the leaders of NK - He has promised me a letter of recommendation when applying for a Provisional Passport.
He also gave me a few of his business cards to show in case I ran into trouble.

(There were some contact numbers he gave me as well - but some things are better left unsaid on a public forum)
