The absolute cheapest way to get from nyc to lon using points & $ is take megabus to boston ($1 tkts avail) then use ba avios 25K  to dublin or shannon + $106 taxes ROUND TRIP then book ryanair or easy jet for $50 to london.
Total for round trip: 25K avios and $157.
Not an ideal route!!! But most cost efficient!
Or fly BA from DUB-LHR for 9K+$45 RT.

20K avios nyc-dub is ONE way. It would be 40K avios round trip +$147 taxes.
Bos-Dub/Snn is only 25K avios round trip!

That's the BA reward saver- worth remembering can only get if passenger EARNED avios (by taking a BA or BAcodeshare flight- not with credit card) in 12 months prior to booking. Otherwise 9K and $148 in taxes!

I've never flown BA or credited a flight to BA and that's the price it showed me.

-100 These are available for the masses
And if not available on ba.com one could almost always find on avios.com

you will have to fly to Dublin and then to Boston then to nyc for a total of 17,000 21,500 avios +120$ about
FTFY
Via TXL its 24,500 avios + $120 straight to JFK.
Spot on!  Thanks!

Hey bro, FYI, I've done exactly that already in the past (just in BIZ, not Y).  Bl"n I ain't doing it again.
The MegaBus part just killed the whole thing.  It was just too much of an ordeal.
BTW, it was ~$120 in T&F.
To anyone who's thinking of doing this, I say, pay the 9K Avios & $5 (RT) for the NYC-BOS flight, it's very very well worth it.

Consequently, once you do that, for another 6k avios total RT, you can fly direct to JFK...
Only issue is, there is more avail. through BOS :(

BTW, I see no reason why anyone whould fly to SNN, it's kinda' hard to find any flights to anywhere else from there, especially using miles...
Or fly BA from DUB-LHR for 9K+$45 RT.
And have the "luxury" of being able to fly with luggage ;D
I've never flown BA or credited a flight to BA and that's the price it showed me.
+1
NYC-LON With ANA iS 38k miles on united (as per Dan's post) and availability is pretty good usually.
Good point!
How much are the total taxes & fees?  Anyone know?

They must have known it was DAN making a booking!

"To be eligible for Reward Flight Saver all you need to do is collect one Avios 12 months before you book."
YMMV. Telephone agent (Was using agent because of infant) wouldn't give my wife reward saver because she hadn't earned avios from flying.
(I created ba fam account then was able to get her reward saver...)
They also may have a difference between u.s based accounts and u.k accounts....

Anyone know how much the total taxes and fees are with ANA (flying UA)?

Im not sure if you know but you can hardly find a ticket to London under a thousand dollars. As per Dan a one way ticket with Virgin Atlantic is 13000 points. Whats the best and cheapest route for a return ticket from London to NY, or any place near London. Points or cash.

If I use VA points for NYC to London its 13000 + $98 for fee and tax that’s a very good deal how about finding away back without all the fees and taxes?

What will be my cheapest option?

Direct flights would be aa/ua
Non direct the cheapest would be via Dublin
