Fedex picked up but didn't scan package

I shipped a laptop that I sold and fedex picked it up but didn't scan. It doesn't say picked up.

What if the driver took it? When shipping I declared the value of $700.

Has happened to me in the past.

It could be they did scan and their system didn't update, or they didn't scan it, Wait 1-2 days.

If you had a scheduled pickup, and it shows that the driver did come, you might be able to open a claim

I would just wait now.

Doesn't make sense hours past already and there is no scan.  Usually there is.

If you could prove that Fedex picked up the package it will be covered.

But even if there isnt the first scan wait till there should be a second.

How would you prove that the driver picked it up?
(unless it was a scheduled delivery,  and the driver noted that he was at your stop)

He will loose his job.

If you call Fedex and file a complain the drive will have to sign an affidavit, which I dont think he will want to lie about, as he doesnt know if you have cameras ect.

Update: It showed up towards the end of the day. I called them and they said they put a trace on it, that could've helped ,who knows....

Dropping off at a UPS store without getting a dropoff receipt OTOH is a big no-no.
