It's it possible to double dip?
I.e. Share with 4 offers AND add family members?
Just spent a while 70+ minutes on the phone with Amazon trying to get a definite answer to this. I think I spoke with reps from 3 continents along the way (one was South African, the other two probably from the US and Asia).

It took such a long time until the reps could fathom what I was talking about - I guess the shared Prime option is very rare nowadays. In the end, he's reached out to the developers and they will hopefully let him know if I can have my cake and eat it too. I shall update y'all.

Under the new system were you can only share with one adult, can you see each other's orders?

I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.

I believe the answer to both is they're separate accounts with their own logins and cant see search history or orders.

Buy a .edu email from eBay. Create a Amazon account with that email and sign up for student prime.
After the account has prime go to the account settings and change the email to a personal email (or with a +1).
After 6 months cancel the prime.

Thanks. Sorry I didn’t mention that I want to keep my current account and already used all 4 years of student pricing

Is the old Amazon Prime sharing plan no longer going to be grandfathered?
I've had the old sharing plan grandfathered for a number of years and now I can no longer see the 4 other members listed on my account.
The Amazon reps are no help at all as they simply have no idea what the old plan was and can't see anyone associated with my account!

Not if you don't want to share your credit cards with everyone you're sharing with. The old style sharing discussed in this thread is for accounts that were grandfathered in only.

In the new version, don’t you officially have to be in the same household?

Wasn't it officially like that with the old version as well? It's called "amazon household" after all.

Yeah, but with the new one I believe you actually have to choose the relation (e.g. spouse, teen, child) and only spouse gets full benefits.

The "spouse" doesn't have to live at the same address though, correct?

that's not accurate. You need to choose child, teen, or adult.

doesn't need to be a spouse, and doesn't need to be the same address.

On the other hand you do have to share payment methods, though I don't know to what extent that actually works.
