Global Entry when landing in Israel
« on: January 27, 2013, 01:47:13 PM »
Last May the United States & Israel signed a agreement for Global Entry. Is anyone aware if Israel has indeed set up the expedited line for Global Entry members landing in Israel?

Global entry is a US Customs and Border Patrol Program. It is only for use when arriving in the United States.

Not in practice in Israel yet.

Quote: As part of the agreement, set to be signed on Sunday, Israel will set up a VIP route for US citizens registered with the program allowing them expedited clearance upon landing in Israel. It should be noted that the program does not offer a visa waiver.

I don't get it. On the GE website they have multiple different countries set up. Korea, Australia, New Zealand, The Netherlands etc.... if this was signed with Israel in May don't you think it should be set up by now already?

I stand corrected. Global Entry does participate with other country's that offer a Pre Approved Travelers program like Global Entry.

It must take a while to work things out before the program is operational.

I believe you will have to apply and pay for Israel's program as well.

It would be a great thing if Israel had it!

How would anyone know? and I doubt israel would be any soon since it's not even an open border with Israel, also I don't see israel trusting US background checks

P.S. Someone with 23 posts posted something 2 years ago without any source, and there are people who take it seriously

Although if Israel had a trusted traveler program the US would hopefully trust that. They're way better at screening people since they racially profile.

All the more reason for America not to recognize it.
