Curious where you're renting the RV from? Looking online I found rvshare.com. The indiecamper.com website seems to be mostly European based.

Could this work if let's say I wanted to add some bedrooms to my house for a long yom tov and just have it parked in my driveway? Could it be powered by my house? Does it help if I have an EV charger hooked up to my house that's up to 48 amps?

In the past i've rented from Cruise America & Elmonte. I find  that elmonte has decent pricing when booking couple month in advance.

And yes it could be powered by your house as they usually give you an adapter, however you'll not be able to run to much power on that. So basically it will be enough just for lights.

If you have a EV charger you should be able to run everything.

Do RVs have J1772 outlets like EVs?
Thanks for your responses.

not sure about that specific one as I'm not familiar with EVs, however the RVs I rented came with 2 type of adapters.

I've always been intrigued about an RV trip, but my wife was always worried about the safety aspect, especially when travelling with young kids (<6) and no car seats... Anyone have any experience with this?  I know you can rent trailer caravans, but aside from making the trip much more expensive, since I'd need to rent both the trailer and a suv/truck to pull it, it takes away some of the charm..

Interesting question. I know that some RVs are able to secure a car seat but they will not be front or rear facing. That could be a problem for very little kids. I wonder if any members ever dealt with this...
