You looking for the English version (The majestic bride), the previous rebbe's, or the rebbe's?

Know anyone (FFB) who did it in English? Am I kidding myself hoping people will actually listen if I say it coherently?

IMHO it would be a idea to say it in Hebrew but give a small introduction in English... No one listens no matter how you say it and it only makes sense to say in Yiddish if it's a language you would learn it in. Any thoughts?

Why would I learn it in Yiddish? It's published in Hebrew and I'll learn it in (Hebrew and) English.

That's my point... The whole reason people world say it in Yiddish is because they would learn in Yiddish, but these days most people learn in English.

"In Chabad circles, it is customary for the groom to deliver a chassidic discourse which discusses the mystical implications of marriage. The particular discourse recited is entitled Lecha Dodi, and contains ideas culled from the writings of all the Chabad Rebbes, and serves as an "invitation" for these holy chassidic masters to join and bless the wedding ceremony."

This discourse was first delivered by the Rebbe Rayatz in the Tomchei Temimim Yeshivah in Warsaw, at the marriage of his second daughter to the Rebbe on the 14th of Kislev, 5689 [1928].

Oh, cool. I didn't realize that they're not just reciting the regular Lecha Dodi translated to Yiddish.

As no one listens anyways it will be easier to knock off quicker in Hebrew, not in your own words. But it would be nice to give an explanation before... Again this is just my opinion. I don't think there's a right or wrong here.

Hang on.
I assume he wants the Maamar of the Rebbe Rayatz (unless something has changed in the last couple of years that I don't know about).

I believe most people say the Rebbe's Maamar nowadays. I've also heard of people doing both but have never seen it done.

I may be mistaken. I remember discussing it back and forth with a friend who recently got married. If I remember correctly the conclusion was most people do the Rebbe's Maamer so that's what he did. I don't think there is really a set thing here though.

Maybe AsherO can chime in here... Anyone recently get married or getting married?

I just had a look at the two Maamarim, and you're right.
I said the Rebbe's Maamar... quite a number of years ago.
I must be getting old ... losing my mind.
