Anyone know what the deal is with needing Covid specific travel insurance to enter Israel? I see here that you need health insurance that covers Covid to enter Israel. Can my regular US insurance card suffice to get into the country? I have no interest in purchasing travel insurance of any kind unless I have to. I just don't want issues getting on the plane or entering the country.

I have no idea what the requirements of entry are. But for $10 you can get a minimal policy (low coverage with a deductible) that will provide you with proof of COVID-19 coverage.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Didn't realize I can get one so cheap, though for 5 people that's $50. Do you know who provides that coverage at such a low cost?

That’s what I heard too, but who’s “They”? Will the airline (Air France) give me a hard time if I don’t have it?

I had a few passengers that AC did not let check in until they showed proof of Insurance, That was when there still had the entry form requirement, maybe something changed since.

Does anyone know any Travel Insurance companies that are actually reputable and trustworthy? From the BBB is looks like each one is a bigger scam than the next. Has anyone had experience using a Travel Insurance company while traveling to Israel?

What do you mean reputable and honest? They all have claims filing procedures, and if those aren't followed, the claims won't get paid. If procedures are followed, claims will get paid.

I have no personal experience, but I have heard from clients (including my daughter who buys annual plans with them) good experience with Allianz. I have helped clients with Trawick and Worldtrips claims. Worldtrips was better.

For travel medical GeoBlue/HTH have a good reputation (their plans are very good, I have no claims experience with them).

Dunno… just take a look at their reviews and they are absolutely horrible. Were the filing procedures not followed correctly? Maybe. But it just seems that they always have some fine print reason why they don’t cover the claim.

I have received very good feedback regarding Allianz claims. Only drawback of their plans is low medical limit.

People will always complain, especially if they don't understand the terms, never read the policy, or feel they are entitled for more
Insurance does not pay "compensation", it acts for "reimbursement" to cover incurred costs under the benefits.

One day I got a call "hi I'm here in the airport, my flight is delayed with 2 hours, send me the $600 that is listed under 'delay'"

Are you looking for a plan that will reimburse you any non-refundable charges in case YOU have to cancel the trip for a covered reason?

If so, I think your only options would be with Israeli insurance plans.

I had to file claims with both Allianz and Trawick in the past. They were both relatively easy and got reimbursed according to the policy. BH they were not for huge amounts.

Glad to hear.

From the feedback I get back Allianz seems to be better with claims.
