Any recommendations for travel medical insurance for an Israel trip that would cover a pregnant women?

I see some information upthread but am not clear what exactly would be covered for pregnancy.

We are traveling in about a week and will be returning to the U.S. 2 months prior to our due date.

Which state do you live in?
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Which state do you live in?
NJ.

Trip is May 10th-22nd and we are 2 adults (one of whom is pregnant), one 15 year old and 2 babies under 2.

I am fine without real coverage for our flights and apartment. Mainly just want to make sure we are covered medical insurance wise which we IYH hopefully we won't need of course.

Most policies should cover pre-existing conditions within 21 days of initial trip deposit.

I price checked Health Insurance plans -
Allianz and Trawick vs Amex, amex seems to be super cheap only $64 for a couple, whereas the others seem to be 100$+ per person.
Is there anything I am missing regarding Amex Insurance? Any Fine print?

Any other prepaid expenses?

What week of pregnancy is travel? IIRC Worldtrips covers complications up to week 28.

GeoBlue covers preexisting conditions if you have a primary health insurance plan in the US that is not Medicaid.

Allianz is trip protection (which is priced based on trip cost). They provide a small amount of emergency medical coverage (20,000-100,000 depending on plan and state), and are very good with claims.

Trawick is usually the cheapest for pure travel medical.

I'm not familiar (I.e. Have no experience or knowledge) with AMEX coverage.

Thanks for all the recommendations! I checked Squaremouth.com and some other options and I'm not having much success actually as my wife is in her 29th week already and she is on medicaid. The only other main prepaid trip expense is our apartment which will most likely be charged in the next few hours if that makes a difference (I already submitted the reservation, I'm just waiting for it to be confirmed).

Any other ideas where to look who would cover a pregnant woman on Medicaid?

I believe Trawick has a trip protection plan (you need to include all prepaid expenses) that covers pre-existing if purchased within 21 days of first deposit (I don't know if that plan says anything specific regarding pregnancy). Possibly also Seven Corners.

@Tom Brady  @ExGingi is a insurance broker, and I have bought travel insurance from him in the past. He is probably your best resource on these forums.

Based on personal experience, do not travel without TI that covers pregnancy, especially so late in pregnancy
A relative of mine traveled from IL to the US for a wedding in about week 21, and the night before the return flight she had some complications that ruled out flying before birth (there was even concern for viability of the child). She had forgoten to do insurance...
B"h As she was a US citizen, she managed to get on medicare, which is covering her ongoing hospitalisaition... but all the other expenses, that would normaly get paid for by travel insurance, are now out of pocket.
Unless you are willing to make aliya to get bituach leumi...

Anyway, Bsha'ah Tova.

Thank you!

I bought Trawick for both my parents. Just medical insurance of 100k was $270 total. But now I realize that preexisting conditions arent covered. (Tix bought prior to 21 days of trip)
Are there alternative reputable insurance coverages of similar cost that cover pre existing conditions?

If they are on Medicare they can get GeoBlue (outside of NY) or HTH (in NY).

Medicare+NY. Which plan on you referring to? All 3 here seem to exclude preexisting unless booked within 2-3 weeks

Do they have primary US health insurance (not Medicaid)?

Has the trip already been paid for in full?

Where do the travelers reside (state) and are they traveling domestically or internationally?

located in nj currently have horizon bcbs, but will probably be getting onto medicaid now. (I can technically probably still hold on to the bcbs until after the trip but will be quite costly)
booked tickets with chase points and paid deposit on apartment.
traveling international.
thanks!
