any recommendations for a cheap travel insurance that lets you cancel flights for any reason?

Use https://www.squaremouth.com/ to compare pricing and coverage option

Travel Ex they only give back 75%

IME no one gives more than 75% back for cancel for any reason

In any case it needs to be considered against the policy cost

True. Also, if your ticket is refundable and all you'd be losing is 25% (or 20%) of its cancellation fee, that's something else to be aware of.

What's the general thought on travel insurance - Always get? Never get? Only for certain countries/circumstances? I'm curious in what the board's thoughts are on this...

Check by each travel insurance provider for which reason they allow to use which such insurance, and what rate they will ask for that

First you get better medical coverage. Also the credit card company's usually give you a run around when making a claim, the travel insurances dont.

IME depends on the situation, and how much they stand to lose.

Travel Guard took about 6 weeks, Chase took 3-1/2 months

I've been searching for a good affordable travel insurance for a trip to Israel this summer. There are so many recommendations. So my question is which one to choose for 1 adult & 3 children for six weeks to Israel?
