I called a few and was told "end of pregnancy" is not covered. Morning sickness etc is covered
That's what it seems like, or if you find out you're pregnant after booking. Some cover complications unrelated to pregnancy that can be exacerbated like nephritis.

So people travel in later trimesters with no insurance? What do all those "babymooners" do

I'm scheduled to fly to Israel with my family including a newborn baby, doctor advises not to take newborn baby because of measles outbreak. Will travel insurance/cc travel insurance help out in anyway if we cancel the trip because of this?

Thanks, but since pregnancy is a pre-existing condition it might need different coverage than an emergency surgery
I actually did had a torn knee and it got worse in Australia. And I was still covered. I did mention before I got my plan about my situation. Just call the guy and see what he says

Depending on what plan and when you got the plan, you should be covered.

Still desperately looking for a travel insurance policy! All the policies I looked into could not clarify whether pre-mature labor was a covered benefit. Any insurance experts out there that could recommend a policy? (Already contacted square mouth, travelgaurd, img etc.)

Thanks for the tip! They were actually not among the 200 I had called, and were the only ones that were willing to transfer me to a supervisor to clarify further. Waiting to hear back from them...

You could get " CANCEL ANYTIME". Its usually part of the policy, you just have to purchase the insurance with in 20 days of buying your airline tickets. Most will only pay 70%.

Thank you so much to everyone who replied! Update: I contacted world nomads, and they confirmed that they will cover Pre-mature labor but not the newborn. This seemed like the best option, albeit more expensive, so I purchased. Hope to never use it...

Looking to travel with pregnant DW, and concerned about cancelling, or health complications on the trip, or even possible delivery on the trip. Can I get coverage for all that?
Any good suggestions?

looking to to travel as 8 passengers(me DW and 6 children) from NYC-California in late July to early August on Delta basic economy for about $2300 but hesitant to pull trigger mainly because so much can change until then and I am not sure what my best bet would be for trip cancellation or modification options(I am more likely to modify the dates than to cancel).  Need something more than the typical trip insurance that only covers medical emergencies.

Also it appears at least according to Allianze if i purchase tickets with delta GC they wont cover me!

I don't need medical coverage or anything like that just an option thats lets me modify dates or at least cancel for any reason.

No insurance will let you modify dates and cover the fare difference (unless it's for medical reasons), but there are insurance options that will cover cancel for any reason. They typically won't cover more than 75% of the trip cost.

Allianz through an Agent can get 80%
