Negev / Eilat trip
« on: October 26, 2015, 12:24:53 PM »
I would like advice on possibly going down to Eilat in December,  possible dates are December 14, 15, 16,17. First of all, does it pay to go for just 3 days (from Rehovot and back)? If we go straight to Eilat can you do that on your own or should you take a tour? Must see, must do places and activities?   We are in our 60's and don't do the scuba diving thing. Is it warm enough in December to go swimming? Need advice on places to stay and eat that are reasonable. Any mehadrin places?   If we do stops along the way, are there reasonable tours that stop off at places of interest like the Ramon Crater?  Jeeping and other activities?

A quick bit of advice. Skip through the Eilat thread and then ask questions one or two at a time. Posts with many questions or points to be addressed tend to get passed over on.

Thanks. I do have many questions because I'm very unsure of what I want to do.   I started going through the Eilat thread and there are so many posts all over the place that its hard to find answers to my specific questions.

Basic question: Is it worth going down to Eilat from the Mercaz leaving on a Tuesday morning and returning on a Thursday night?

I've done shorter trips than that, but what makes it "worth" it for you?

I would say definitely yes being that your not gonna be doing any scuba diving or strenuous activities and its more of a relaxing stay.
