Help With Missed Flight
« on: June 10, 2010, 06:45:10 PM »
My wife, infant, and I have tickets on Continental flight tomorrow morning, but they can't make it;.  Anything I can do to recover the $ for their tickets?

try calling up. i know there are some airlines that will give you the credit in vouchers that you can use for up to one year with them.
i think the only way you can get the cash back is if you got insurance...

If nothing works, I'd ask my taxes back. I know that they have to reimburse @ least partially the taxes, but not sure whether in the airport, or if you have to cancel before departure.

bout all a person can do is call before the flight time and pay whatever fees to move it to a different date or get an voucher, but change fees usually = not much if anything left over its usually $150-250 per tkt. that must be paid in Ca$h

hopefully jcc will report back what ended up happening

Only CO makes you pay cash for a change fee, other airlines will take it out of the ticket value.
And even with CO I've been able to get it taken out of the ticket value on some tickets.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.
