Korean Air Award ticket help
« on: January 29, 2013, 08:39:21 AM »
Im a little confused and could use some help.. Im trying to book 2 tickets in either business or First on Korean 0086 on 5/19/2013. When I originally checked a few weeks ago, there were no seats available. So I went to Expertflyer and created an alert for First (A) or Prestige (O) . This morning I received an email from Expertflyer that at least 2 seats had opened in First (A), but when I go to KE's site and check, it shows that nothing is available. What am I doing wrong? :o

So did you have to do the whole faxing in thing? How quickly was the whole process from start to finish? I've read they have extra steps beyond just clicking "redeem" online  ::)

I had no such issues.  Maybe that's if the account holder isn't traveling.
You can also hold seats until the last minute.

Without miles? That'd be really helpful. Thanks.

But the account I'm using has 19k in it already so I'm thinking of adding family. And then adding less UR

Did you end up doing the family family registration process?

Are they really that bad? I can't make a booking for someone from my account?

You can, but they make sure it ain't easy so you won't do it too often....
Still a bit easier then before with the fax-in requirement.
