Washing machine vibrating/driving me insane.
« on: January 30, 2013, 08:38:23 PM »
Laundry room on top of my study, we have a decent new Bosch washing machine that's great but spins like a maniac and vibrates my chair downstairs! . Tried these anti vibration rubber disk things but they dont do much. Anyone know of good "feet" or something?

Maybe theres a problem with the agitator? (i think thats what its called) the part that spins the clothes. It can be broken and causing the clothes to bang extra hard. If you really have no issues with the actual machine sounds like its maybe not leveled.

Can make all the difference.
Make sure each leg is very tight against the floor.

Don't have a Bosch but no way is this the norm. Is this a top/front loader?

I know this is old but..
There are shipping bolts that need to be removed from the back before using.

I was thinking both those thoughts.
I installed my daughter's new washer dryer for her.  ON the back, the tubes were wrapped around some screwed in 'thing'.  It said to remove the 'thing' and un wrap the  tubes.  Being more macho than the manufacturer, I unwrapped the tubes without disturbing the screwed in 'thing'.
My daughter's machine danced around the kitchen and made a racket.
Something fell against the washing machine door and bent the window, so they called for a repair guy.  They also asked him about the movement and noise.  He checked the back and unscrewed the 'thing'.  He said it was quite common for people to mistakenly leave it screwed in. If it stays in through too many washes is could break the rotation system.
