If it's a stain try wetting it and sprinkle baby powder, let dry and flick off-repeat.
Works sometimes....

aNOTHER WAY i FOUND THAT WORKS

!. fILL A SINK WITH WARM WATER
2. (Whoops) Add a little detergent.
3. Dip tie in to mixture.
4.Rub stains a little
5. Hang dry

Works like magic.

i just like going to century for ties they cost about $10-15 for decent looking ties and once they get dirty i just trash em. its cheaper than being busy with cleaning them

I have a chinese cleaners in Toronto that cleans ties w/o killing them. You just ask them to steam clean, not press.

When my ties get dirty I usually get rid of them. I find that everytime I clean them it just ruins the tie. Not worth paying to get it cleaned. I try not to eat with my tie on.
