SPG 50% off Rack Rates for 1k points

I paid 12K SPG for it during the promo.
I'd rather stay in a different hotel than pay $420 (plus tax?) or 30K or C&P for it.
It's nice, it's just not that nice.  And it's jam packed with frummies, service is not 5*, and the balconies don't have enough privacy,

I'm talking about the st regis bahia beach PR (not alot of frummies there lol) and the it's never packed as they only have 130+ rooms and 2 miles of private beaches

I was about to book a room at the St regis for 275+15k points as paying cash would have been 789+tax a night but whilst speaking to them I found out something new to me(and I have searched here and don't see anyone mentioned it) about booking a room 50%off the rack rate +1000 spg points.
Imo it's a great deal

I saw cat 7 S. Regis and automatically assumed you meant SRBH

Forgot that SRPR went up from 6 to 7 in 2012...not sure why you didn't just say which hotel though.
