Yep -- in fact the version from the first source causes springboard to start in safe mode. No worky.

ya had issues like that with a bunch of things i downloaded....messed up the whole iphone - was in safe mode

Successfully installed, and it's cool, but it's missing the "look" of the Android lock screen, like with the big flip clock, etc.

You can indeed do that but the easiest way I found (even easier than Installous) is to use ifunbox on mac or pc which will install any ipa downloaded on your computer directly onto your iphone (no need to copy the file to a download folder or anything like that...)

iFunbox is the USB variant of SSH. But same concept

I believe I read that its the jailbreak that's having an issue with the weather app and they hope to have an update shortly with a fix

the update already came out. Just go back to cydia and you should see an evasi0n update...

I updated with cydia but it seems that appsync which allows hacked apps to sync interferes with the weather app. Evasi0n has no interest in fixing it because they (rightfully) don't condone piracy.

I have appsync installed and my weather app works just fine. Just make sure u have appsync 5 and not 6 installed

I have appsync 5 and jb updated but my weather app is nowhere to be found
When I uninstall appsync my weather app is there but non of my apps other then stock are visible
