I don't know the first thing about vidalia but maybe you can write a script (java or sl4a etc) and have tasker run it

Tasker sounds cool. Any way to get it for free or a trial?

7 Day Trial
And just like any app you can find a pirated version but I would not recomend doing that with tasker.

I finally took the plunge and downloaded Tasker.
It definitely has a big learning curve, I started off very lost but slowly I'm getting into it.

It looks like I found what to keep me busy for my long work commutes  :)

I have a variable that has a time as the value.  I would like to add x amt of minutes to that time.  Anyone know of a way?

Just took the plunge myself. So far all I've accomplished is turning off the ringer on my way into shul and back on after. Is there a way  to simulate touching specific points on the screen (inside another app)?

By doing this:

It is still relevant. That's why I was asking if anyone has a way around it. I would rather do every X amount of days. But I guess 4 cents a month will have to work.
If you haven't figured this out yet, you should be able to run a task that should wait 28 days, and rerun the task. Just add a step to the task that's placing the call to start a different task that has a Tasks/task/wait - {preferred number of days} and then launch the original calling task, like this it will loop forever.

I think that's what 'scenes' are for, although I haven't figured them out yet.

By talking about it here instead of the Android thread.

In short. I use Secure Settings plug-in to activate after 2 failed login attempts. I use Sendsilentemail plug-in to send the picture to my email. The dialogs are made with Taskers own "create scene"

I will try to post screenshots later (I think I may have posted them already in the Tasker thread)

I will try to post the XML etc later

ETA here the screenshots, I have since updated them but it's basically the same

Scenes are basically it's own app, don't think u can use it to touch inside another app, though I know there used to be a way but I can't find it now.

I made a task to text my wife when I am a few blocks away from her work. The thing is that I notice that even with the GPS on, it does not always have a fix. Unless I am using a navigation app it won't activate the location based profile. Is there a way to have it get a GPS fix every few minutes around the time I pick her up?

I think I figured it out. I can tell it to get location, and then check the keep tracking box.

But make sure to put in a stop at the end so it won't continue tracking

In the location screen under menu there are "location without tears" instructions, very informative.
