you cant expact much with these robots, they brush off the dust but you cant expect it to replace your cleaning help

I have an ecovacs for my office. It works very well for crumbs and dirt on the vinyl floor. I have the one with the mop feature which is okay but not great. It gets off marks from water but not any real spill. At the end of the day I don't need to hire a cleaning crew or sweep or even mop as long as I spot clean spills and drips.

That depends on you and how you use them. With lots of kids and toys on the floor it may not be practical. Bit on the other hand it may be a good way to get you to pick them all up everyday.
As for actual cleaning they can do a pretty good job. (Sweeping not mopping)

Has anyone compared vacuums that also mop with separate robot mops?

I haven't tested it, but from my research neither seem worth it. It's a nice added have.

Not sure an office can be compared to house with kids...
Just curious if you’re happy with it why not get one for your home?

I never saw a robot vacuum in action, but I know someone that regretted buying one

When we bought one from Costco for my house my wife insisted that we return it. It became a stepstool and wasn't helpful in requiring less sweeping/vacuuming.

See my previous post for the one that I have for about a month already. I got the "pro" mopping add on last week.

The pros:

  • It's the closest thing to a real mop that I've seen so far. It actually scrubs the floor.
It actually makes the floor wet, on the standard mopping piece that comes with the robot, even on max flow it's barely a trickle, with this I left it on max flow and the floor was noticeably wet.

The cons:
  • Since the pad is actually vibrating vigorously it's much, much louder
It says you can only use the disposable pads which means you'll have to keep buying them but I used the washable one and I think it was fine
If it's not free shipping it's not worth it.

I asked him again, he said that originally he got the roomba and wasn't happy at all with the navigation, he later got the ecovacs deebot, and he's satisfied with the job it does, both of them are over a year old they probably have better models today as technology keeps on advancing

I have the deebot, the navigation is mesmerizing. It’s almost become a family activity, watching how it moves around, avoiding some things entirely and slowly creeping up on others because it can’t quite tell what it is but it knows there is something there.
If it's not free shipping it's not worth it.

Assuming you'd need one with a mop feature

You likely won't get a definite answer on this one, but an encouragement to refrain.

Assuming that says Shabbos, I can see an issue when you'd want to interfere as they easily get stuck.
