Is it okay to set the robot to clean the floors Shabbos after the seudah
I have been told that since it is not yet common in every home it would not be permitted to use on shabbos (same as it has been with air-conditions before it became common)

I'm looking for something specifically for only hardwood floors. I saw the roborock s6 pure for about $380. I'm wondering if there are any other deals out

I didn't end up buying, but when I was researching about Robovacs I found the Roboroc to be topnotch, but heard negative things on the pure. I don't recall specifics.

Just picked up the iRobot® Roomba® j7. Using it on hardwood floors and seems to work well. Anyone try these on carpet?
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

Will give it a try but don't see it having the necessary suction power.

I think the little things that spin around underneath work some of the dirt out of the carpet so that less suction is needed to pick it up (I don't have one but have seen one go)
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

how do you know what robot vacuum to buy?
« Reply #50 on: January 09, 2022, 08:56:18 PM »
I am looking to buy a robot vacuum for my house and don't know where to start with so many options!?
After some research, it seems a vacuum/mop duo is a bad option (1. if you have any carpet in the house it's no good due to leaving it damp and 2. if the mop gets any major dirt on its pad it spreads it around the house :/).

So within the robot vacuums what would you suggest with regards to features and what specific company and model would you suggest?

Got this one on cyber Monday. Its good but the app slightly glitches.
Good thing about this one is it self empty so no need to constantly empty the vacuum

There are some that will automatically lift the mopping pad when encountering carpet. I believe some of the Roborocks do that

The Roborock S7 is the only one that I found that does this when I did some research a couple months ago.

Got one on Black Friday but have not had a chance to use it much yet.

If it has a mopping pad then you need to change it pretty often, otherwise you're just pushing the dirt around. There was one I saw that had 2 water tanks, one for dirty and one for clean, so you don't have that problem.  I almost bought it but it had some pretty bad reviews :(

One of the top on the market. The new one shows at CES is pretty epic and expensive.
