Looking for ultra book

It would be used for web browsing, word and excel but very light stuff.  No graphic intensive games.  Some photoshopping. 
I like the Macbook Air but don't want to spend that much on one so anything similar to it is fine.  Budget is $500 but would spend more if nothing is within that range for a thin lightweight laptop.

IIRC MS store has 2 sales, they were selling these for $799 w/ Xbox, and they had them on sale for $699 (w/o xbox)

Then, I bought and sold a handful of this model.

Both.

EBay and Amazon are made up of stupid buyers, thinking if they are buying there they are getting a great deal. I often am able to buy on Amazon and sell on eBay or vice versa.

Love it replaces my laptop for travel but get the pro 2 as the battery is a bit weak on the reg pro

Definitely get the Surface Pro 2 with type cover. I got mine around two weeks after it came out and I love it. 10/10.
Or, you could get the original Surface Pro with the new power cover (it adds 150% battery life).
The stylus is great with Photoshop.
