You sure you cant receive the points for the first flight thats actually taken?  I thought I read here somewhere that its possible.

wait a second, it wont work to file a missing miles request afterwards for the first flight? and has anyone ever had success scanning their boarding pass for second flight and then "forgetting something" "be right back"....?

I've done a couple of hidden city tickets with DL.  I got the miles and had no other problems.

As long as you don't do it too often you should be fine  (what's too often, nobody really knows)

Done it with aa. got the miles for first segment, had no problems with my ff account.
