While I think writing something like "this page", sounds cool, and has been the style lately for a few members here, I think that it's not always called for. It helps someone remember for next time that the place to go to for a mileage converter is "webflyer.com", when they see that website written openly in the comment, instead of just seeing "this page" and only after clicking on it do they find out that its "webflyer.com". While I agree, that in some cases, like for example if someone just wants to reference a different post on dansdeals.com, it is fine to write "this page" or "here" to link to that page, but I think when you are trying to teach someone something or to direct them as to which site to search for certain things, it is beneficial to write out the actual name on the page, so people see it and remember it better for the future.
very well put. i think some peoople here are drunk on hyperlinks

When reading from my bb the dd forum, when links are very long, they break the structure of the forum, as it doesn't know where to break the link, as there are no spaces.

Ok, a p'shora. If the link is to a specific website (e.g. webflyer) then it makes sense to post as is. But if its a three line link or just a link to another thread or post on DD or even FT, then use the hyperlinks.
How does that sound?

Sounds good to me.
I finally took the time to learn how to use these cool links and on my first try I get shot down! :)

Point taken though.

Question:
I currently have 67.147 starwood points, is it worth it to transfer all of them in AA? or transfer 60.000 and wait till I get another 20.000?
I wont be hitting 20.000 by June 30th.
Thanks.

It's almost never worth transferring without the 5K bonus in my opinion, unless you absolutely need the extra points.

If I'm not mistaken he will get 35% bonus on the 7.147 pts, as oppossed to waiting till he makes 20.000 and then getting only 25% on them.
Dan, please correct me if I'm wrong...

That is correct. So if youre not going to get to the next 20k before the end of the promo transfer now, 35% is more than the 5k bonus (25%)

It has been mentioned that as long as the transfer is initiated by the 30th it is eligible for the bonus. Does that mean until midnight or is there a specific time? Secondly, does anyone know which timezone they follow?

To be safe I'd assume 11:59pm eastern time.

My starwood transfer came through to AA today with out the 35 % bonus. Last week it came through on Sun with the 35 % bonus. I know it says it will take time. I was just wondering if anyone else had this.

Yes, that's just how it posted this week.
Give it another week or so.
