when would be the latest someone could initiate the transfer from starwood to AA, would it be 1159pm june 29 or must one take in consideration that spg doesnt transfer right away and if one does it so close to the deadlline he wont get the points?

Only the initiation has to be before the deadline.

To be safe I'd recommend people transfer early on the 30th to avoid an issue. Why wait till 11:59pm?

And many of you will only see the transfer (75,000 or 50,000 or 25,000) but will not see the bonus. A"A will post it within the week, or by next monday the latest.

A"A has also confirmed that even if the points actually only get transferred after the 30th, as long as you transferred them with SPG on or before the 30th, you'll be fine.

I did the 40,000 (50,000) transfer over a week ago, and the bonus posted the same day as the 50,000 miles.

My wife did the transfer last week (from her SPG to her AA) and the 50,000 posted on 6/25 but the bonus did not post.

Should we be concerned?

(her AA still goes under her maiden name, while the starwood goes under her married name)

If the points posted she should get the bonus, no need to worry.

I got the bonus for the points I transferred the week before last.
The points I transferred last week just posted so I hope to get the bonus in the next couple days.

Everyone calm down. The points will post soon. The T&C clearly stated that it can take 7 BUSINESS days after the initial points post so give it a day or two before you begin to scream bloody murder

I would be concerned at this point as my 1st waive of transfers through 6-17 got the bonus 35%. Have transfers from 6-20, 6-21 etc. that didn't post any bonus yet. That's at least 9 business days from the transfer date. Will wait it out another week before I call in but I smell fish.

Is 6-20 the date points transferred or points posted?
The 7 Business days for the bonus is after the initial points post.
