Bedard keeps looking better and better by the day. Never a better time to tank hard for Bedard. Record setting World Juniors performance and back to torching the WHL again.

The only times I‘ve seen similar levels of hype was for Crosby, Ovi, and McDavid.

Yes, we can cherry pick to make a point. 
A simple search will come up with numerous #1 picks that flopped but that isn't the point.
For me he has a size problem, but I wonder if he can take all the pressure being put on him. I hope he is the next Kane but only time will tell.

I’ve mentioned multiple times - he’s not a #1 pick, he’s an (undisputed) generational #1 pick comparable at this stage only to McDavid, Crosby, and Ovi. Looking at stupid posts about McDavid after going scoreless 2.5 games in, is a perfect reminder to stay rational. The reasonable expectation is that he should be good from year 1.

As a side note he’s a heavy favorite for the Calder and Vegas has him at a very respectable 68.5 points which accounts for injury risk and/or a slow start.
