In CLT, Chabad is the only Minyan, and it has daily Shacharis that's called for 6:30AM but practically doesn't start till 6:40AM. Mincha/Maariv is at Shkia. It's a 5 minute drive from there to Gleiberman's, the only Kosher grocery/restaurant in town. It's open every night, and closes around 7:30PM (at least this was in April before Pesach), which worked out well for getting some dinner and then going to Mincha/Maariv. Food was surprisingly reasonably priced for being out of town and was on the whole very good. You'll need to be patient with ordering and getting food unless you feel comfortable getting up and finding the waiter in the grocery and pushing things along, etc (which didn't seem to bother them). For $25, they delivered a week's worth of lunch meals pre-wrapped for oven warming to the hotel I was staying at for work. Jeff Gleiberman is a sweetheart who really tries hard to keep his store afloat and genuinely seems like he's doing it to help the community and guests. - @Yehuda

Mon-Thurs 2 weeks in a row.

Adding to wiki now...

Planning a trip to NC next week. Heard Jeff Gleiberman is super nice as well. Looking at the menu though it seems a lot more expensive then you are describing it to be. Admittedly I'm sourcing from trip advisor because their domain expired for the website.

Also do you know if Chabad sets up for lodging for Fri/Sat night? Tying to keep costs to a minimum.

Mains with sides came out to $15-22 a meal. Add a drink and tax+tip and you're about $25-30 a meal. I think that's reasonable.

Not sure about Shabbos, sorry. You can try contacting them.

My bad, I read your post wrong. Saw it as $25 for a weeks worth of meals, not per meal. Hence the confusion. Not a problem I will look into Chabad and Shabbat.com

Thanks for the help. Big fan of your Kauai and Denver trip reports. Keep up the good work =D. Might take a trip to Den in Aug/Sep, found your tips to be very helpful.

Ah, understood. That $25 was the delivery cost of the food to my hotel, by the way, in addition to the actual food. Thanks, glad you enjoyed :) Feel free to ask any Denver Q's in the Colorado thread.

Yes, by Chabad. Hotels can be hard to find, but they may be able to set you up with home hospitality.

Going to CLT Wednesday-Friday next week for work. Anything to do in the evening? Maybe some nearby nature? Smoky mountains seem to be 3+ hours, I think I would travel 90 minutes each way.

A friend of mine suggested US national white water center. I never went though. I ended up just working a ton and retiring early on my work trips.

-1 / +1
I didn't work a ton, but I definitely crashed each night after getting dinner and Shul.

6.5 hour stopover in CLT on Thursday. What’s the best ~2 hour activity within an hour of the airport and kosher food?

No idea about food, but there's an awesome-looking amusement park visible on final approach if that's your thing.

Apparently Kosher Charlotte is 25 minutes from the airport so sounds like it’ll be that. I’ll look into the amusement park, thanks!

The only kosher food (pre-covid) was Kosher Charlotte. No eat-in available.

Anything interesting to do in Charlotte in the summer? Looking at Trip Advisory it seems pretty weak.
