Im thinking to take an RV up to NH(because I figure it is cheaper (and funner) then renting a car and paying for Lodging.)

We can escape the bad weather and hit a few places like Loon and white mountain.

My question is if it will be harder to get around with my massive Motor home.

Any thoughts?

I've spent a fair amount of time rolling around the white mountains.  It is obviously harder to drive anywhere with an RV. That said, I have seen few places in the White mountains that you really cannot go with an RV.

If anyone in the Whites now and wants a pretty spot for a picnic or to go fishing or boating if you have a boat that you bring with you, hit me up by pm.

Can you please elaborate. What type of barriers you are referring too? What exactly would we not be able to do?

Anyone know of a nice good full day (or good few hours at least) activity somewhere like half way between Bethlehem NH and lakewood NJ? Looking to break up the drive on way back home, and wondering where to go. Have kids age ranging 2-11. Any ideas appreciated!

Fun spot arcade in Laconia NH. Old Sturbridge village in MA (they are having their major army re-enactment today). Sonny’s place in Somers, CT. Cabellas in East Hartford CT is worth an hour or two between the shooting gallery, the animal displays etc.Waterbury has a pizza shop with decent food and prices (don’t expect to find more than the basic pizza and fries) that will break up the trip a bit. East Rock Park in New Haven CT has picnic areas with grills and a fantastic overlook- great place for a bbq.

Thanks! Not into museums at all, maybe the Sonny's place, but not sure if good for smaller kids? Shooting Gallery also not ideal, but is the aquarium anything to write home about? Pizza /BBQ spots are perfect for breaking up supper time, thats definitely a winner! Please let me know about your feedback on Sonny and Aquarium, and if have any other place/ideas.

Sonny’s is fantastic; well run with relatively reasonable prices, and enough variety of indoor and outdoor attractions to appeal to kids of all ages. The aquarium in Cabelas is just a few oversized fish tanks; the stuffed and mounted animals all around the two story mountain scene complete with a waterfall is the real show. It’s not a half day trip though- more of a stopover.
