Well just like you wouldn't expect Larry Jordan to take Video or Photography advice from me, You can't expect me to take Data Recovery and storage advice from him. Yes Raid 5 is safer than Raid 0, however when they fail, the can have major corruption issues especially when they aren't replaced immediately.
A video editors primary concern is speed - which is why most of you guys are still running Raid 0 and think that it has some kind of backup.
Raid 5 is recommended for lower budgets because Raid 5 can work with 3 Drives, and Raid 10 needs 4 Drives Min
