MH - LY, what will happen with the baggage?
« on: February 14, 2013, 04:37:58 PM »
Now that Malaysia Airlines can be booked with AA, and can be combined with LY such as:

ADL-KUL-HKG-TLV

Or KUL-LHR-TLV

I am wondering what will happen with the bags.

to date, MH has no partnership and no interline baggage agreement with LY at all. Meaning that they cannot transfer bags between each other.

If it's a no-go I am wondering what will happen when it is MH-CX-LY such as MEL-KUL-HKG-TLV will that make any differnece being that CX does have interline baggage agreement with LY, will that make any difference?

Appreciate your input...

Interline agreements are C#$P. As long as the check-in agent tags the bag properly it will be transferred.

But I am wondering if they'll do it. If the system will let it through.
