anyone had good experience with nice suite upgrade in tri state area using the platinum spg

I got a fantastic suite upgrade at the St. Regis NY, but the basic room will set you back 30k spg per night.

Sometimes they will actually insist that the person who's platinum actually be there. That happened to me in the Diplomat once.

In my experience, the Diplomat is the only hotel that really enforces that rule

yes it did work i guess u can do that also if you want the starpoints bonus from platinum book yourself as the main and the person staying as the secondary
