Allowing those connecting to get off the plane first.
Holding the plane for connecting passengers.
Your odds improve. Also once the plane landed and they decided to transfer luggage, that's could make them hold the plane more.
Last time I had an AA early arrival was 1998.
Allowing connecting passengers to get off first? Can't recall the last time they announced this.
Holding a plane for connecting passengers? Not since D0...

I hear it repeatedly, more frequently with delayed flights.
Holding a plane for connecting passengers? Not since D0...
happens all the time with AA, and now UA as well with recent policy changes.
