Looking at KTW-MUC-EWR giving me 55m connection in MUC but wont give me KRK-MUC-EWR at 50 minutes. Can anyone check what the MCT is in MUC. Thanks.
Fair warning - Any PMs sent in response to forum posts are fair game for ridicule in public.

I'm looking to book LAX-EWR on 6/24 on AA. Lowest price is ~$250, but I can piece together 2 one-ways with a 47 minute layover in PHX for $137 (AA2318 + AA1439).  Neither the AA website nor any OTA's will offer this combination of flights when I search LAX-EWR. I did confirm with an AA agent that it does not violate minimum connections times for PHX (she couldn't quote for me exactly what the MCT is, but said the system allows it for this combination of flights). However, the agent said we probably can't check any bags and there is a risk that the itinerary will get automatically cancelled even up to an hour before the flight.  She couldn't explain why though - something about "pricing rules won't allow it."

AFAICT, this isn't a hidden city because I intend to take both legs of the flight. And if it doesn't violate minimum connection times, what else could the airline use as justification to cancel the itinerary? If AA issues a valid booking number can they cancel it for any reason? Does any part of it violate the airline's contract of carriage?

Sorry, not sure how to interpret this. Does it mean MCT is 1hr or 15min?

Looks like an hour to me, but maybe @chff can chime in.

Can you manage without checked bags?

If I have to. So if I have a valid booking number with AA and check-in online or via kiosk I should be ok?

If you're not checking bags I wouldn't worry about MCT. If you are, you may run into issues trying to get a bag checked through.

Those flights price together and can be booked in GDS. Not sure why AA/OTA won't allow it.

What does the SUP refer to?
How can 25 minutes be a legal MCT? That's wild. Don't think I'd ever chance such a connection.

25 doesn't seem crazy for PHX. Certainly wouldn't build my own ticket around it tho.

That's just 15 minutes from arrival to get off the plane and then board the next one. I wouldn't bet on making that connection.

Between
(Remove when talking about AA) early arrivals
Allowing those connecting to get off the plane first.
Holding the plane for connecting passengers.
Your odds improve. Also once the plane landed and they decided to transfer luggage, that's could make them hold the plane more.

Meantioned that.

I hear it repeatedly, more frequently with delayed flights.
Holding a plane for connecting passengers? Not since D0...
happens all the time with AA, and now UA as well with recent policy changes.

Is this too tight?

PHL-JFK 5:21 PM-6:29 PM
JFK-LAX 7:30 PM

Travelling with 2 toddlers so everything will take a bit longer.
We don't travel often (refer to the above ;)) so any insight from the pros would be greatly appreciated.
