I would be tempted to say no-only because I am not comfortable with the speed of customs in YUL

Thanks, I skipped it, for myself I would do it, especially since there's another later flight, but it's for someone else, don't want then to be nervous.

50 min self conect in SFO. Is there any chance?

Different terminals, F on inbound.

FWIW the inbound hasn't been less then 25 min early in the past week and the outbound hasn't been Less then 10 min late

P.s. if it is possible is checked bags out of the question?  First flight is AA, (are they still making problems with checking luggage through?) Second UA.
