Plus the idea of opening a CC, getting the sign up bonus and then closing it "must be illegal" to some.

the general assumption is that it is by choice that someone lives in the city they live in. So if someone else makes fun of that city, the one who lives there needs to defend his choice of dwelling place. If he doesn't defend it, the silence says: i'm stupid for living in such a bad/weird place"

shoot! I was scared I spelled that wrong. I really don't take it personally when people make fun of where I live. I am happy in Baltimore and I know where the stereotype comes from. I just decided to act like I was worked up since that seems to be what's going on on the Forums today.

I think every city gets made fun of for something or other. I know a lot of the midwest towns do. And half the time whatever people are saying is true. I don't feel the need to defend my city though.

Now if someone goes along and says something to imply that "all people from Baltimore are..." that might need some defending. You can rarely make such a statement.

It's just on a forum, it gets extremely annoying when people ask the same question over and over again and you try to answer it in a short way and the other person still has no clue what you're talking about.

It's to the point that I almost never visit the CC threads anymore. Most the info's already in them for those that check.
