Can't figure out if it has a removable batt. Hope it does. Will it be quadcore in the US?

Nope.  Unfortunately, this is going to start to be the norm.

And yes I believe so. I don't think the carriers are going to mess with it too much if at all.

at least it appears to have a decent battery. Don't see much to entice me to switch from my GS3, although I miss the sense UI from my old thunderbolt

Funny, that's one of the only things I don't like about it.

I have the S3 since the day after it was released and I'm still amazed at how good of a phone it is. Not so much best camera as the operating system smoothness and all around powerful machine. I don't think any phone beats it. The S4 will have to clear a high threshold for people to want to upgrade.

+1. Although lately the battery isn't as good as it was, I guess that's normal, gonna get a replacement

When my trusty old Motorola Photon starting acting up a few months ago I switched to the Nexus. I'm very happy with it.

I would love a better camera but it's not priority.

The main issue that bothers with me the new phones is lack of removable battery and the SIZE!
I hope one day they'll start putting out top of the line phones that aren't HUGE.

The Nexus is about my limit when it comes to size.

For the next little bit phones are just going to be getting bigger and a bit faster.
But IMHO the current phones out at the moment are just great. (S3, iphone 5, HTC One X, Nokia Lumia 920)

I don't think most people with those phones necessarily feel they are lacking anything.

The S3 was also huge for me after having the crappy Optimus S (HUGE upgrade in everything) and afterwards I learned to appreciate the size. Took a while to get used to.

Except that the S3 can use a better camera (not bad at all). Rumors have it that the S4 will have 13 MP.

Megapixels mean nothing.

You really feel like lacking with the S3 camera?  Pretty shocked to hear that.

The S4 might be a beast.

Quote
As per the rumors, the Samsung Galaxy S4 is likely to have Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean as the operating system. The device is likely to be powered by the Exynos 5 Octa CPU. Other expected features of the handset include Mali-T658 (8-Core) GPU, 4.99-inch SuperAMOLED Full HD Resolution Display with 1,920 x 1,080 pixels (445ppi), 2GB RAM and a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, capable of shooting 1080p Full HD Videos at 30FPS and 2-megapixel front-facing camera capable of shooting 720p HD Videos.

Could take a second or 2 sometimes to become sharp on the screen while taking pictures. It's not bad at all. it's just not the best out there. It does have awesome features.

But as you said, the S3 has a very fast processor and it doesn't feel like it lacks anything. The is no point in having an Intel i7 on a cellphone.

The iphone 5 still has the best camera that I have seen personally on a phone.  That's also because iphone worked less on pumping up it's megapixels and more on working on the actual camera.
