Upgraded to kit kat and gone went my PDF reader. How can I manually open a PDF without going to it through EF file Explorer?

When I do go through EF file Explorer, it open some programs called Polaris something... Though I can't find that in my phone anywhere.

Would going to all apps, then pdf or file explorer... Then clear defaults.... Would that be an option.

Eh, weird. I think I fixed it by simply redownloading Adobe Reader (which is what I was using before).

Seems since the update I can't get ride of the "slide to unlock" even though I'm pretty sure I set it to off. Anyone else have this issue?

I got the htc One last night.

Build is beautiful. Sleek and clean.

It does feel quite unwieldly for one-handed use though - coming form iphone which sits in the hand really nicely.
Will see how I adjust. Hoping to get used to it. If in 12 days I still find it unwieldly, I'll probably change for a 5c/s

Seen reports online with complaints (just like there are complaints about every single product out there), though I've seen a bit much about battery drainage hence I've been very reluctant until now..
How's the battery?
