It can fluctuate a drop depending on the school. Also, IIRC this doesn't work with any .edu, the school needs to have arranged it with VZW

dave - It has been discussed a few times (search for some reuslts)...
One of the good tricks are,
Either complain you aren't getting good service, or Roam only, and If you are more than 50% roaming they willl automatically bounce you w/o ETF.

Search. I posted about it somewhere. It's not too much money anymore though. The discount only applies to the shared data cost I believe.
