Thanks. I had searched it previously and it didn't show up. But when I entered DPS, it worked.

Just Ubud, and the option for Ubud Bali Indonesia came up.

How long should I expect it to take from Ubud to the airport on motzai shabbos? I'm trying to figure out if I can send out my parents that evening so they get back at a better time?
Is a flight leaving at 9:45pm good enough if shabbos ends at 7:07?

Can anyone recommend a driver in Bali?
The villa we may rent (http://www.vrbo.com/308296) recommended this company, http://www.rentalmobilbali.com/bali-car-rental/.

I used a guy named Sila. Really friendly guy, great rates and brand new vehicles. We couldn't have been happier to use him. http://www.silatours.com/transpot_service.html

Word of caution Drago: booking a villa in the mountainous region may not be the best idea in the rainy season...

Good point.
You say that because the roads will be impassable? I know that we want to be in the Ubud area, but that specific villa is around 40 minutes out.
Would a villa closer to Ubud be a better option?

Ubud itself wouldn't be an issue as far as I can imagine. Not sure about the one's further out.

Not only roads but vacation experience. I'm sure you don't want to spend your vacation in constant rain. Closer to Ubud would be much better but I would try to get as close to the coast as possible.

Thanks for the advice.
We chose Ubud b/c we'll be in Thailand prior, and will on beaches there. We're looking for a change of pace.
Rain wise, it seems like it rains around half the days in Ubud in December. If it comes down to it, we could always do activities close to the coast during the day. Bali isn't such a big place.

Great deal at a really nice Ubud hotel:

Wow, really nice. Since I'm going w/ 3 kids though, I don't think it'll work.
I'll probably book a villa soon, since that'll give max flexibility.

Looks like I'll be staying here.

We'd prefer to be in Ubud itself so that adults can go walking around on shabbos and in the evenings.

15 ft. snake kills man outside Bali Hyatt. Stayed there in August, that's pretty crazy.
