Bump
+1 looking to go in January , would love some ideas about how to get there from NYC in J, and where to spend shabbos?
There are many options from NYC. To list a few: CX, CZ and SQ.There's Chabad there: https://www.chabadbali.org/ (For security purposes; you may have to submit Photo ID etc. showing that you're jewish, before they disclose the location).
wow, wish i had known that, brought lots of food each time we had goneAre they in a beach city, or center of island
Pretty sure that's not an "official" Chabad location.
I'm not sure about that. It may not be listed on Chabad's website for security reasons.I know that they are affiliated with Chabad of Singapore, Hanoi and Ko Samui.
The Rabbi / shliach of Singapore told me that They sent the shliach to Bali. Only 5 religions are legally recognized in Bali so they are careful. Mind you, when we were there on shabbos the shliach of Bali was dancing in front of his house with some Israeli guests. Looking Jewish/ Frum and singing shabbat songs. He also has a Mashiach crown on his mail box outside the home.
Anyone been to Bali in end of October to jan time. would like to start putting a trip together, also really considering the STR or the ritz any recommendations on which one?
Was there in that time period,
any idea when Bali will open back up? Looking to go to a wedding first weekend in August
Hi allThinking of doing a trip with my kids to bali. We have a few boys and they all wear yarmukle and zizis. I have been to Dubai and have no problem walking around in a muslim country. Just wanted to hear your opinion on Bali. Will i feel safe and comfortable being there openly jewish? Thanks
