@robi: i think her question was for @Ergel that asked why someone wouldnt buy it direct from Amex.


Amex doesnt sell the Kindle Fire, it was just on a one day (hour) special on Amex Sync with Twitter and is not available anymore.

Thanks Robo. so there is a need to be on twitter to get some promos? what are other advantages of joining?

btw, Staples in store special was 169 and you get a $30 staples card. in store only, no rain checks. some stores ran out of the 7'. looked like an impressive unit. is it a good replacement for a laptop for viewing news, email while travel? saw you could get an app for office, and I assume you can connect and transfer MS Office files between home pc and Kindle.

Still, amex is a great offer.

Amex is a better offer $169+ tax =$183 which is more than $150 even if you count the staples card as cash, which it's not
