Is one of the minivans (Odyssey or Sienna) less of an eyesore? Any have an edge in this dept. looking sportier?
I think Odyssey looks sportier. Sienna has a more classic mini van look

What would be my best option to get an organization/company to pay for a personal vehicle? Should they get a cashiers check from their bank and write my name in memo? or any other ideas?

Just started pricing out an Odyssey.
Only looking at ex-l (never understood how someone with kids could not have leather seats).
Sticker price is $35+
New-so far I have an offer for $29.3k, I think I could get it a bit lower, maybe $28k
used:
I spoke to a guy who buys used cars at auction and my parents have bought their last few cars from. He priced a 2010 Odyssey (he said the price jumps like $5k on the '11 model because of a redesign) at
15,000 miles for $24k
30,000 miles for $20-21k
55,000 miles for $18k
He claims that his cars come from elsewhere (not NYC) and therefore the miles have less wear and tear.
Thoughts?

have to buy before I close (otherwise I pay 13% tax bringing into the country or inflated Canadian car prices) and I don't think the 2014 will be out by then

Even if the 2014 isn't out yet prices should continue to fall as people realize something refreshed is coming.

Did not, but figure 6-8% sales tax and around $1200 dmv fees, etc.

If you have car seats there is no reason for leather. My car has leather, wife's van is cloth.

little kids are the ones who usually vomit so they are in car seats anyway. My wife didn't like leather since it hotter in the summer and colder in the winter.

And you didn't read my comment. My kids are experts at vomiting all over everything, even when they are in car seats

Anyone know if the model with preinstalled DVD can play video from USB drive? (divx and all other formats)?

And what are the pros and cons of installing one after vs having preinstalled (I know it's much cheaper but what controls will it not have?)
