Bump - in the market for a new minivan, read the whole thread. Has anything changed since these earlier posts? Between 2015 Odyssey EX and 2015 Sienna LE, what would you recommend? And any reason to wait for 2016 models if I'm not particularly in a rush?

Haven't shopped around much, but first quote had Odyssey at 29.5 and Sienna at 31. How much better can I do, and any places in Brooklyn you'd recommend trying? If prices hold up, is Sienna worth the extra $? Their financing is 1% cheaper.

CR ranks the Ody as the clear winner.

That's a pretty good first quote

I have an Odyssey and am not thrilled with it.  It has a very rough ride.  The Sienna is more comfortable. Yes it is rated the best but I wouldn't get an Odyssey based upon that rating alone.  That being said, I haven't had any problems with my Odyssey in 14k miles (except for a recall on the airbag) and have only done routine maintenance to it.

Also, people in the know will tell you that the Sienna ages better but that only matters if you intend on keeping it long term.

My two cents for whatever its worth.

I love love my new Odyssey. I have the EX-L. The right side electric mirror is also a life saver.

Maybe the roads are better in Cleveland?  Come for a rude in HutzNPlutz with me.  Also, I have the Touring - not sure if that has a rougher ride.

Touring may he rougher since the tires are probably lower profile.
In general though, Honda is not as soft a ride as Toyota

That's a pretty good first quote

It's definitely not bad, but when you wrote that you got an EXL for under 30k, how is 29.5 for the EX good? My guy quoted me 34.5k for EX-L. I'm on the fence between EX and EX-L, but certainly wouldn't spend 5k for the upgrade. Any tips for places to get better prices from, or best month to buy?

I was actually reading about the 2015 Kia when you posted. I was surprised to read about the redesign, but it clearly gets great reviews. Everybody now says the top 3 are Odyssey, Sienna, and Sedona. People say for the same price Sedona gives you better features, but that it's smaller and not as child-friendly. The warranty is also great, but people say they're not known for their durability. Any other thoughts on Odyssey vs. Sedona for a family?

Can you post

Can you post (or PM me) where you got yours for so cheap? I realize it may have gone up a little in that time, but would be quite happy to get an EX-L for 30k.

Do you remember where you got the other price (so I can get them to match it)?

If you are buying, I would stick to Honda over kia. A lease would be a different story

Odyssey is great but wish it did not look like a hearse. The old model
was a nicer. Not that its a factor.

Even more so with the Quest. The old model was very nicely designed. The current
model resembles a boat who's stern is about to collide with the vehicle in the next lane
when the road turns.

Who comes up with these shapes?

I don't think anyone buys a minivan to be fashionable.  Its a utilitarian vehicle born out of necessity.

Once someone is buying it, don't you think they'd try to buy a nicer one first.
