Can't speak for the Carnival, per se, but I've been driving a 17 Sedona and I have no complaints. Has held up remarkably well, and I'm happy I didn't spend the extra money on the Odyssey or Sienna.
It's not extra money until you close your position for an actual cost per month.

It's 15% cheaper no matter how you dice it.

How do you know that without knowing the selling price?

Negotiating can be done on any car. Basing on MSRP and average sale price, you can't assume you'll be able to negotiate a lower price on the Ody but not the Kia. In fact, considering demand for the premium brands, you'd likely have better luck getting a bigger discount on the Kia. I have to admit. I haven't tried, since I haven't been in the market for a while. Paid $21k for a 1 year old Sedona in 2018 and got probably the best value I've gotten from a car in my life.

I'm referring to the resale value, not the negotiating.

Ah, missed that. Current resale on the Sedona is about half of what I paid for it 7 years ago.

Current resale value on my Sienna is slightly more than what I paid for it 4 years ago.  :)

It's not based on historical data.

Do they have a page like this for Sedona?

+1 for me on a '16 Sedona (bought used in '18 I think).

Meh. It's impossible to be that exact in hindsight because then you're comparing actual repair and resale costs to hypothetical average repair and resale costs. What would make more sense is that if when you bought you calculated the expected cost per month for each option at various lengths of holding the car, there's probably a crossover point. If you outlast the crossover point you've probably done well going cheaper.

Unless you opt for a higher trim. Just had a Highlander limited and it was so quiet.

From what trim level does the noise get reduced?

Is it still expected to be paying above sticker price for a new sienna? If yes, about how much?
And does anyone have any specific dealers to recommend (other than Plaza Toyota on Nostrand).
Thanks!

Recently my Honda Odyssey fuel economy is very bad compared to manufacturers rating but for local driving only, for highway it is just perfect. I also feel certain kind of jittery jumps when gears change, what would be the first place to start investigating?

Change how you drive. Slower acceleration, let go of the gas well before a light or stop, etc.

Do you mean to say that this is what caused the performance issue to start just recently after 4.5 years on the van?
