Just stumbled across this thread not sure if this has been said here or not. Per the Lakewood mechanics (and they sure see a hell of a lot of mini vans)  they normally see people leasing Odysseys and buying Siena's, the reason being the Odyssey has a little nicer drive but the Sienna hold up a bit better, but they are both great mini vans

Meh.
People lease Odys because of Honda's damage waiver and no dispo fee.

Looks like I will be buying out someone's lease assuming all the details work out.
2011 (the year of the new design) Honda Odyssey EX with leather seats with 30k miles on it: $18k. I think it's a steal
If you can find a 2012 you'd be better off.
The first redesign year historically has more problems than other years for all cars, including the '11 vs '12 Ody.

Yeah but that would mean someone with a two year lease and a significantly higher buyout (if I coos even find it).
Seems to be people are happy generally with the '11

That is a very good deal. U can always get a warrantee if u want more peace of mind. When someone leases they pay around 14k+ for that van in 3 years. You should have hatzlacha with it.

I'd start getting quotes next week.
Prices still haven't dropped, still on the $29k+ range

Bummer. How far out did you go?
Sometimes you may have to fight dirtier than you'll want to get to get the quote you want ;)

Update! being that i was the OP just wanted to let you guys know i ended up buying  a 2011 sienna le with 35,500
miles for $18,700 (total including his fee, $350 i think) it was a lease buyout the deal was facilitated by elisha levene of unique motors (lakewood). Very Recommended he was great !
Comparable odysseys were close to 23,00 with no backup camera (on ex model) (2011Sienna has on le) Being that it was less than 36,000 miles, and 2 weeks before 3 years  it was still under warranty,
so got a free water pump $600 value,:) .
Also top of the line new tires had been put on 3 months prior.
Had it inspected, was in great shape besides for  needing a new water  pump which was Free, and needed New brakes, which cost me close to
$600.
I am totally thrilled, love the drive
Overall satisfaction 10/10

True. Honestly I have driven all 3 and i like the way the Odyssey drives the most.
The Toyota is very smooth but the handeling is very loose, the Quest is more "sporty" because it's a Nissan.
The Odyssey is very middle ground, very smooth but not loose.
I rented it once for a long road trip,
Pros: for the driver its realy amazing, smooth, quiet, good pick up and good gas, I would forsure take it over anything else.
Con: it's not as big, smaller trunk and 3rd row dosent have too much leg room.
Some people claim that due to its shape it'd get pushed around alot when it's windy on the highway.
Drove all 3 today and I thought the Quest had the nicest drive.  Very similar to my Altima and it doesn't feel like driving a boat as the Ody does.

But the Quest's trunk space just seemed sad compared to the Ody.
