Ana doesnt work anymore for star alliance if you have no miles in your account

On FT there are 2 reports that may help clarify. One member says he has 50 points but it is not working for him and another member has 100 points and it is working for him.
So the magic number seems to be 100 or possibly somewhere between 51-99 points

Just merged this with the old thread, read post 1 for a workaround.

Here's another workaround from FT's sbm12 that appears to work great for me!
Install Greasemonkey for Firefox and restart your browser
Install this Greasemonkey script
Go to ANA here
Then click award reservation in the top left corner, login, and you should see Star Alliance search just like before they broke it!

 yet there are those on DD that actually go ahead and pay for the KVS tool, I think it offers more then just Award Seat availablilty, so it might depend just what a person wants out of it to see if its worth paying for it.. After all alot of folks on FT pay for it as well and they too know very well what you do

Indeed, easy access to award availability is just one of the many KVS Tool features and we were pleased to learn that there are such enthusiastic DD-ers among the KVS Tool members:

btw just for the record Im not a KVS member nor have I ever been. Dont like paying for something that can be handled w/o having to pay, it might take me alittle longer but I get it done nontheless

 just its probably a great tool for those w/o Patience or dont know how to find what they need to w/o it and havent been in this game for the 30+ yrs that I have

Yo, Steve2, I happen to have pretty much patience, and yes, I can get all the results from kvs w/o kvs, buts way more efficient, so for the person needing it sporadically, its not needed (if he knows what's he's doing), but otherwise I'd be busy much longer everyday, to finally obtain the same result.

 theres a big difference if a person is in the biz of selling tkts then if they travel on their own and have the time to play with things

If aperson is billing out by the hour then even for their own use it might pay to have KVS to save them the time thats needed, but if they have all the time in the world then it might be a waste for them to get KVS
