verizon free bold if you have tour

Verizon is out of blackberry tour warranty replacements today - if you call up you can get the new bold for free,this is what I was told I don't know if it is true ymmv.

this is awesome. i just changed to droid incredible. i still have my bb tour. do u think they will deal with warranty issues (tracball problem) if the phone is not attached to my account? or do i have to change esn''s then call them then troubleshoot then warranty?

I just confirmed. This works. My bold is on the way. Also my friend was able to swap his Tour with a Moto Droid for warranty replacement.

Having problems with my Tour, called up verizon, they told me the Tour is out of stock & the Bold in on the way

It might be different for you, since you're going to be filing an insurance claim, the insurance company might have their own stock of (refurbished?) Tours.
