HUCA tips:

1) To avoid being told "You already called about this and were told no". The trick is to call about other things in the middle, so when the rep looks at the notes of the last few calls it's other stuff.

2) To avoid speaking to the same rep you just spoke to. The trick is to use 2 phones, so when the tzaddik answers, you quickly call on the other line and ensure you get a different one.

Supervisors can do whatever they want if it's UA metal. I just did a really good job at making my case for why they should open space for me.

He transfered UR to UA, and it ended up being phantom. That's a fault on united's part, but can  still take you at least 7 HUCAs.

Don't give up. I signed up in November and got matched. Key words: "I know you don't officially match, but I'm looking to get some courtesy/goodwill points"

booked TLV-JFK on LO J using UA transferred from Marriottt and got an email a day later that the Lot canceled the space and put him in economy
took 6 huca's but finally got a supervisor to book TLV-EWR direct
