It's 40 JOD
Thanks. I remembered incorrectly, my bad. Hershel is right, it is closer to $60. In fairness though, I did have to buy visas to 4 different countries in a span of 5 days, so it's hard to remember the details by each of them

Not a "PITA"? How long did it take from the time you got to the Jordanian border terminal until you were outside the Israeli border terminal?
How many times did you need to ask someone where you're supposed to be and they give you this look as if English isn't a language?
How long did you have to wait on the bus until they filled up so they don't waste gas on a 2 minute drive?
1. IIRC 2 hours, and maybe slightly less. About an hour of it was waiting in an air conditioned room with seating (like waiting for a flight) while they waited until enough people came to fill up the bus.
2. Zero. The guy on the Jordan side was actually pretty friendly and chilled, and was schmoozing with the people waiting and cracking jokes etc.
3. We didn't have to wait on the bus. We were able to wait inside until we were ready to leave.
Don't get me wrong, I believe you guys and understand how it would be completely different if the place was busy (or if the workers didn't speak English or were unhelpful), when I went though, that wasn't the case.
